GRANT PROGRAMS

Beginning in January of 2006, SERC will fund three major programs designed to stimulate undergraduate research in the TCU College of Science and Engineering.

NCUR Travel Grant Program


Undergraduate Research Grant Program

This program provides modest support for a large number of research projects involvoing a CSE undergraduate student and his/her faculty mentor. A grant can be sought to cover research during a spring or fall semester or during a minimum 8-week summer research period. The grant ranges from $500 to $1,500 depending on the needs of the project.

  • Proposal Form for Fall 2007 Undergraduate Research Grant Program: (Word)
    Note: The initial deadline for applications for Fall 2007 research has been set to September 28, 2007. Grants will begin to be awarded beginning October 5. Apply now to have a better chance of receiving funding!

    Note: Deadline for applications is February 13, 2006.

Undergraduate Summer Research Grant Program

This program provides travel and accomodation support for an undergraduate student in need of performing summer research at a research facility or location outside of the Metroplex.

    A final report for each project is due Monday September 24, 2007
    Note: Deadline for applications is May 14, 2007.
    (Applications will however we processed and approved throughout the Spring 2007 semester so early applications have a higher probability of success)

    A final report for each project is due Monday September 25, 2006

NCUR Travel Grant Program

This program provides travel and accomodation support for an undergraduate students and his/her mentor to present student research at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR). The grant also covers any fees associated with NCUR. The student can apply to present his/her research either in an oral presentation or during a poster session.
